PS4 Day-One Update

Sony has announced that the PlayStation 4 will be getting a 300 MB patch at launch.  The update 1.50 is required to access most of the features promised by Sony which includes remote play, second screen play, video upload and sharing, and Blu-ray player.

The PS4 instant resume feature will not be available at launch but Sony will eventually release the patch for this feature in the near future.

It seems Sony will launch an unfinished product to be able to make the November 15 deadline.  On the side note; the Microsoft Xbox One will also need a large day-one patch to be able to play.

Sony Confirmed 23 Launch Titles For PS4

The PlayStation 4 will hit retail stores on November 15 with a total of 23 games;  confirmed by Sony at PlayStation blog.  The games Resogun and Contrast will be available for free to PlayStation Plus members.

Destiny Beta Program Details

Activision announced that early beta invites will be sent to players that pre-order Destiny at participating retailers (Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart).

The beta will launch early 2014 and the game will be treated as if it’s a full launch game.  Bungie is optimistic with the beta launch and expects the player base to reach a “pretty massive scale”.
